I spend the last week in nature. I went with M. to a place called Borkút near Prešov, in Haniska. When you will walk the hill (by locals called Furča) you will reach a monument dedicated to Eastern Slovak Peasant Uprising that happened in 1831. It is a big monument and when I went there for the first time 4 or 5 years ago, nobody was there, the way up was not even signed. Last Saturday there were people and it really surprised me. There is a wonderful view from the hill on surrounding nature, city of Prešov and village Haniska. You can get there by public transportation too (another thing that is pretty new), with bus nr. 42 from Prešov (bus stop- Train Station). It is a lovely place for a nice walk in the forest, nothing horrible that will make you hyperventilate or get a heart attack :) I wonder if people in the past on May 1st were bringing flowers there or some wreaths to remind this part of history. Because nowadays are such places totally abandoned and deteriate.
I wish you a lovely prolonged week :)
xoxo, Moonie
